Extraordinary. Just like every girl.

Orchard House Middle School is a thoughtfully designed school for girls in grades five through eight, located in Richmond, Virginia’s Historic Fan District. For the School's 25th anniversary, they invested in a brand overhaul to help increase awareness and ultimately, enrollment. After conducting stakeholder interviews and a competitive analysis, we honed in on the positioning of a middle school education inspiring girls to embrace, and celebrate, their unique self-worth which informed the creative work.

After solidifying the brand positioning, we recommended a name update to include "middle." Our creative partner, Campfire & Co. evolved the logo and visual identity, keeping the brand’s beloved purple and teal colors. The new mark symbolizes a girl's middle school journey in a safe, nurturing environment full of possibilities.

The celebratory new tagline we developed emphasizes the confidence that inherently lies within each girl that Orchard House helps to nurture and grow, as Richmond's only independent school dedicated to middle school girls.

To round out the launch, we concepted and developed an anthemic brand video featuring all the extraordinary girls who make up Orchard House Middle School. A series of complimentary tactical videos highlight unique aspects of the School and can be leveraged for future targeted digital advertising.

Our school is beloved by our community and we wanted to make sure that we picked the right people to guide us through this process.
